Return Eligibility

  • Return Window: Returns are accepted within 5 days of purchase.
  • Condition: Products must be returned complete, undamaged, and in resalable condition with proof of purchase.
  • Testing Purposes: Parts used solely for testing purposes will not be accepted for return.
  • Faulty or Incorrect Items: If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us immediately for resolution.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Modified or Customized Products: Returns for modified or customized products are not accepted.
  • Installed Parts: Once a new part is installed, returns or refunds are not allowed to ensure all customers receive unused items.

Fees

  • Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee applies on parts returned without a valid reason within the 5-day window.
  • Return Without Invoice: Returned items without an invoice may incur freight and handling fees up to 25% of the invoice value.

General Warranty Terms

  • Customers must provide diagnostic reports for claims.
  • Refunds/replacements are processed via the original payment method.
  • Faulty parts must be returned within five business days for assessment.
  • Change of mind returns or incorrectly ordered goods: Subject to a 20% handling fee.
  • Non-returnable & Non-refundable Items: Bodyshells and major body section cuts.
  • Warranty void for damage caused by improper handling / installation.
  • Warranty will be void if any parts are tampered with, modified, or dismantled.
  • Warranties are non-transferable and do not extend to new owners.
  • The liability limit shall not exceed the original purchase price of the goods.
  • All panels must be test fitted prior to preparation and painting
  • Parts must be in their original condition to be eligible for credit or return

Exclusions

  • Non-factory or aftermarket parts installed on a different make/model are not covered unless explicitly agreed upon.
  • Such items are not eligible for returns or refunds.

Electrical Parts

  • 30-day parts-only warranty, covering ECU, window regulators, ABS pumps, control modules, power window switches etc.
  • All electrical components must be installed by a licensed auto electrician and appropriately programmed to suit the vehicle.

Engine – Mechanical & Drivetrain Parts

  • Standard Warranty: Three-month parts-only warranty. Labour costs are not included unless specified.
  • Warranty Conditions:
  • Personal Use: Three-month parts only warranty.
  • Commercial Use (Taxi, Uber, Hire Car): One-month parts-only warranty.
  • Accessories left on engine (e.g., alternators, starters, turbochargers) are for testing purposes only and are not covered under warranty.

Warranty Validation Requirements

  • Replace front/rear main seals, water pump, and thermostat before installation.
  • Radiators must be serviced or replaced if needed.
  • Important: Heat tabs installed on engine heads must remain intact. Melted tabs void warranty.
  • Do not rotate the engine counterclockwise and ensure timing is set correctly.

Transmission & Gearbox

  • Standard Warranty: Three-month parts-only coverage (one-month for commercial use).
  • Installation Requirements:
  • Replace input & drive shaft seals as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Highly recommended: Replace clutch during installation.
  • Drain & replace fluids to correct levels.
  • Must be programmed & aligned by a licensed mechanic or auto electrician.
  • Exclusions: Clutches and other attached accessories are not covered.

Client Responsibilities

  • Claims Submission: Submit warranty and panel claims with your original invoice number during business hours to the designated salesperson. Claims may be rejected without substantial evidence. For after-hours inquiries, email admin@fairfieldautoparts.com.au, and we will respond within 72 hours.
